Impressions from the French tree climbing competition in Strasbourg’s Parc de l’Orangerie. Parralell to the championship, technical workshops, recreational climbing, and artistic shows were offered to visitors of the park.

European tree climbing championship

The European tree climbing championship took place on 12th to 13th June in Prague, Czech Republic. About 50 participants qualified themselves in previous national championships. In the Pruhonice park they had to prove there abilities in the remarkable oak trees. The best five participants were competing againsteach other in the master contest. Jon Turnbull (UK) won the european championship for the 3rd time followed by Bernd Strasser (DE). Gregor
Hansch, (CH) arrived third. Anja Erni (CH) won the european title in the women competition.
